My service is a dedicated and holistic experience and I take on less ceremonies in order to give my clients a truly professional, personal and original ceremony. Every ceremony I create is individually written, crafted and designed. Working with me, you will have peace of mind that your ceremony will be professionally conducted, lovingly crafted, expertly performed and given the proper attention and focus it deserves.
I am formally trained, with a Diploma of Marriage Celebrancy and Masters in Communication, and I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the planning and creative process for your ceremony. I am fully insured with Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance.
Fee
Given that a wedding at a Registry Office costs $380 - $480 in which you have no choice of ceremony, limited guests (only 12), no choice of venue, and no personalisation or spirit to the delivery of the ceremony, then this should give you a benchmark of value and service you should expect against cost.
This is your ceremony, your special occasion that you are hosting for family and friends. It is the ceremony that your guests will remember. It is the ceremony that creates the whole tone and feeling for the day. It is the ceremony that involves everyone. It is the ceremony that honours you and your life and gives expression to that.
My fee includes all our meetings (usually between 4-6) to which I
travel to you for all meetings either at your home or a convenient
location. It also includes a ceremony site visit and separate
rehearsal where your ceremony will take place and contingency planning
for bad weather. For your ceremony I provide a quality PA system,
table and chairs and cloth. My fee also includes all the legal
paperwork, documentation , registration of marriage, calligraphied
marriage certificate and a personally created booklet of your ceremony and reader cards.
The planning, preparation and delivery of a best-practice ceremony takes a lot of time, care and attention. Working with my wedding couples, I usually spend anything between 15-20 hours per couple. A general outline of the service you will experience, (excluding travelling times): Initial consultation - 1.5 hours Second planning meeting - 1.5 hours Site visit - 1 hour Legal paperwork, administration, writing your unique ceremony, preparation of music/materials - 4 -6 hours Rehearsal - 1 hour Day of ceremony - preparation, bump-in, sound check, meet and greet, perform ceremony, afters, bump-out - 2 hours Completion of paperwork and evaluation - 1 hour
Weddings ceremony costs range between $750 - $1000 depending on location and day of week: Central Coast - Weekday $750, Weekend $800. Sydney / Hunter Valley - Weekday $800, Weekend $850 Regional or interstated weddings begin at $1000 with the total fee negotiated depending on travel, accomodation and time away.
Commitment Ceremonies and Reaffirmation of Marriage Vows begin at $700. Namegiving Days $375. For Funerals and individual ceremony requests, I work on an hourly fee of $70/hr.
For all ceremonies, any travel above100kms round trip is charged at $1per/km on day of ceremony. For longer road trip, travel is charged at $50/hour after the first hour. (Where reasonable and possible I offer a 50% discount on travel for rehearsal/site visits. For regional trips, please understand this is not usually possible.)
